Ljubljana

Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia. It is probably the most visited tourist spot in Slovenia. If we compare Ljubljana with other capital cities in Europe we can say that Ljubljana is very small. But being small is advantage in this case. Ljubljana has its own special charm especially if you walk in the old town centre that is situated along river Ljubljanica. There is really nice to sit down, watching around people passing by and of course also nice old buildings. If you like to hike a little you can climb on the hill where is Ljubljana Castle. If you are lazy you can use funicular railway. If you like to escape from the city centre you can walk to the Park Tivoli. If you like to go shopping you have to visit BTC City where are hundreds of shops, cinema, water park ...

Skofja Loka

Skofja Loka is old medieval city. It is only about 25km from Ljubljana so it will not take so much time to get there if you visit Ljubljana. It is nice to walk around old town centre streets that gives your some "spirit of past". Don't forget to climb to the castle that is standing above the city. You can't miss it. There is also museum. Around the old town centre are also Pustal with castle, Nace's house, Devil's bridge, Stara Loka with castle and museum ...
