Velika planina is high mountain plateau near
Kamnik. It is possible to go there hiking from foothills or to use cable car. The latter is of course much more easier and faster option. Anyway even if you use this option there is still a lot of possibilities to hike on Velika planina plateau with nice views on Kamnik-Savinja Alps. On the plateau is herdsmen's settlement with very interesting cottages. You can visit also chappel of Marija Snezna or visit natural attraction
Vetrnica (cave). There are also many moutain huts where you can sit down and relax and of couse drink or eat something.
